The Planning Division focuses on short and long-term community-oriented planning in accordance with the Growth Management Act of 1990 as well as local, state and federal guidelines and laws.

Lakewood Neighborhood Master Plan

The Lakewood Neighborhood Master Plan guides physical development over the next 20 years.  The plan focuses on the infrastructure and urban design aspects of the neighborhood. On March 27, 2017, City Council Approved the Lakewood Neighborhood Master plan with the adoption of Ordinance 3053

2-year Subdivision Extension 

On September 12, 2016, City Council affirmed the Planning Commission's recommendation to allow administrative extensions for subdivisions, short subdivisions, and Binding Site Plans for up to two years.  In order to have the extension approved, the development would be required to comply with Marysville Municipal Code standards at the time of the extension request, or must be able to me MMC standards using the minor amendment process in MMC 22G.010.260.  See the Extension Application and Submittal Checklist for additional requirements.
