Off-Street Parking and Vehicle Storage

Location of Residential Off-Street Parking
All residential off-street parking shall conform to City laws as outlined in the Marysville Municipal Code.
  • The following is an overview of the ordinance:
  • Parking for residential uses shall be provided on the same lot as the dwelling unit it is required to serve.
  • The width of driveways for single-family or duplex dwellings shall not exceed 20 feet within the required front yard setback areas, except where otherwise permitted.
  • Vehicles shall not be parked in required front yard setback areas unless on an improved all-weather service.

  • Recreational vehicles, campers, travel trailers and large boats may be stored in a side or rear setback area.
  • Vehicles more than 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight shall not be parked or stored on residentially zoned lots.
  • No vehicle shall be parked or stored on any lot in such a manner that it obstructs the vision of drivers to the extent that it causes a safety hazard for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
