    The seven-member Marysville Planning Commission serves as an advisory board to the Mayor and Marysville City Council, with its primary responsibilities being to prepare the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Shoreline Management Master Plan. Planning commissioners are appointed to six-year terms by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council. At least a majority of the commissioners must live within Marysville city limits.

    Marysville's Diversity Advisory Committee meets the third Monday of each month to identify issues and prioritize support for the community, concerning diversity and inclusion in order to ensure that the diverse character of the city is represented in decision-making processes.Committee members reflect the racial, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the Marysville-Tulalip area, ranging from front-line employees who work daily with various ethnic individuals and families to highly-educated practitioners in the fields of multi-cultural and gender equity.

  1. Fishing Derby

    May 7, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Jennings Memorial Park

    The Marysville Kiwanis Club, Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club, John's Sporting Goods and Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation are sponsoring the 22nd Annual free Fishing Derby. Children may bring their own equipment or use the equipment provided. A limit of one fish per entrant is enforced. Door prizes and grand prizes are determined by a random drawing of all participants. Please bring a canned food item to be donated to the Marysville Community Food Bank, and leave pets at home. If you have any questions, call at 360-363-8403 or email dhall@marysvillewa.gov.
