Entry Level Police and Custody
The process to apply for entry level police and custody positions starts through publicsafetytesting.jpg - 1975 Bytes. This agency conducts the City of Marysville’s written and physical abilities examination. Please visit their website at PublicSafetyTesting.com to select a testing date, time and location convenient for you.

Lateral Level Police and Custody
The process to apply for Lateral level police and custody positions starts when candidates fill out an on-line application as described below. All applicants who meet the minimum requirements of the position will be invited to participate in an oral board interview. All applicants who successfully pass the oral board interview with a minimum score of 70% will be placed on an unranked eligibility list. Lateral candidates must also submit a $20 testing fee and copies of their academy graduation certificate and commissioned Peace Officer or Custody Officer certificate before they are scheduled for an oral board interview to: City of Marysville, Human Resources, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270.

Incentive package offered to Lateral Level Police Officer candidates:

The City of Marysville is offering an incentive package to qualified Lateral Level Police Officer candidates. The incentive totals $5,000 over three years of continued service. Officers will be offered $1,000 per year at the end of the first two years of service, and $3,000 at the end of the third year of service. Additionally, a Lateral Police Candidate may be allowed to accrue vacation time up to the amount accrued for a five year employee.
