Because
well-kept neighborhoods are safer and more attractive, the City of Marysville has
renewed its Community Beautification Grant program for 2017. Applications are
being accepted until Friday, Jan. 20, 2017.
Communities
within the Marysville city limits who want to work together to beautify their
neighborhoods are invited to apply. Grant funds of up to $7,500 are available
for community landscaping, neighborhood cleanup of common or publicly visible
areas, or others projects that enhance the quality of life for the community.
Neighborhoods that previously received grant funding can apply for funding up
to $5,000. Funded projects must be completed by Oct. 1, 2017.
“Six
Marysville neighborhoods got a boost from this program last year, improving
community livability for hundreds of families,” said Mayor Jon Nehring. “We’re
excited to see the proposals for 2017 and continue to invest in these worthy
projects.”
