47-Year Old Woman Found Deceased in Marysville Jail

Marysville – 12/10/17, 9:30 AM

At about 4:35 PM yesterday, December 9th, Marysville Police Department Custody Officers discovered an unresponsive 47-year old female inmate in her cell at the Marysville City Jail.

Officers began CPR immediately and Marysville Fire--located in the same facility as the jail--responded, taking over lifesaving efforts, which were ultimately unsuccessful. The inmate was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The woman had been in custody at the jail for approximately four days after being arrested for outstanding warrants.

Marysville Detectives and the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the matter to determine the cause of death.

The woman is not being identified and no additional information is being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation and pending results from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
