Graffiti is a serious problem that negatively impacts commerce, reduces property values, creates blight, and increases the propensity for gang-related activity. It also sends a message that the community is not concerned about the appearance of its neighborhoods. Graffiti and the blight it creates is self-perpetuating - if it isn’t removed promptly (within 24-48 hours), studies show that the frequency and amount will increase.
Graffiti is on the rise in Marysville and elsewhere in our region, costing taxpayers, homeowners, business owners, and city and school district agencies thousands of dollars in repairing damage and in cleanup costs. The Marysville Graffiti Task Force is doing something about it before it gets worse. The City, Marysville Police, Marysville Parks and Recreation and Marysville School District have teamed up in the fight against graffiti vandalism in our community. We need your can help.
