Municipal Court
We have received reports from King and Snohomish counties that residents have been called and threatened with arrest warrants for failing to appear for jury duty. The caller then demands payment of a fine. This will NEVER happen through Washington courts or law enforcement agencies. If you get a call like this, do not provide money or personal information and please contact your local police agency right away.


The Marysville Municipal Court has exclusive original jurisdiction over:
  • Actions brought to enforce or recover license penalties or forfeitures declared or given by city laws or state statutes
  • Criminal violations of city ordinances
  • Traffic infractions arising under city ordinances

Municipal Court Judge
Municipal Court Judges are elected to serve a term of four years. To serve as a judge, that person much be a citizen of the U.S. and of Washington state. An elected judge must be an attorney permitted to practice law before the courts of record in Washington state.

The Marysville Municipal Court staff consists of two Municipal Court judges, a court administrator, and an eight-member administrative staff. Online payments are not available at this time.
