HAVOC Disaster Preparedness Camp

Youth CERT campers create a lift

HAVOC is a hands-on, activity-based disaster preparedness day camp for youth who live in the city of Marysville or attend a Marysville or Lakewood school. At HAVOC students will learn and be able to perform preparedness skills, such as disaster medical, basic fire suppression, search and rescue, and disaster operations. HAVOC aims to train students in emergency preparedness and basic emergency response for disasters, while emphasizing teamwork, leadership, overcoming obstacles and perseverance. Attending HAVOC will help students develop the skills needed to protect themselves, and assist others, in the event of an emergency or disastrous event. Through HAVOC, students will be able to assist in the response to emergency situations, thus providing valuable surge capacity to local first responders when needed.
