Scoping is a process required by the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) that is designed to focus the scope of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) or Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) on the probable significant adverse impacts and reasonable alternatives of a land use proposal, including mitigation measures. Scoping is an opportunity for the City to receive comments from the public, tribes, and agencies about EIS topics and alternatives. The City anticipates issuing an SEIS, and issued a Scoping Notice on March 8, 2022. We invite comments from the public, tribes, and agencies from March 8, 2022 through April 8, 2022 which can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, will be included with the file, and considered during the update.
The City will be conducting short surveys quarterly during the Comprehensive Plan Update process. Your feedback will help us as we update goals and policies, and refine land use alternatives. We invite you to take our current survey here.
