Drivers are still finishing their regular Thursday routes, and roads are clearing fast!  Once Thursday routes are finished, they will begin collecting those who were missed on regular Tuesday routes. If they cannot finish regular Tuesday routes today, they will continue tomorrow.  If you were missed, we will collect double next week at no additional charge.  Again, we appreciate your cooperation and patience!

ServiceSolid Waste Division.png

The Public Works Solid Waste Division provides garbage pick-up to about 13,500 homes, hauling 1,480 tons of garbage and recycling per month, and is one of the only two cities in Snohomish County that provides citizens with service at a rate competitive with regional private solid waste companies.  Collection charges include recycling under a contractual agreement with Waste Management Northwest.

Garbage Pick-Up

Garbage is picked up weekly, Monday through Friday. Garbage is collected every official holiday except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. If your service falls on one of more of these days, your garbage will be collected on the next day.

Once-a-month garbage customers:  Please put your garbage cart out on the first full week of each month on your normal collection day. See the schedule below:

Garbage collection during inclement weather?

If snow or other events prevent safe collection of garbage or recycling, the City will collect double on the next collection day or, if circumstances permit, later in the collection week.  Please see marysvillewa.gov, social media, or announcements regarding collection.  The City will collect when safe to do so, as such, there is no credit given as all materials will be collected.
