Parks, Culture & Recreation Advisory Board
The board meets at 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every odd-numbered month. It advises the Parks, Culture and Recreation department and the City Council on long-range planning for parks, facilities and programs. It also develops operating rules and policies for facilities and programs.
Candidates must live within Marysville city limits. To be considered for this appointment, please submit a letter of interest and resume by Monday, July 31, to CityClerk@marysvillewa.gov (put ‘Parks Board application’ in the subject line) or to City Clerk, 501 Delta Ave., Marysville, WA 98270.

About
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity to the parks and recreation director and to the City Council. The board performs a range of functions, including:
- Acquisition or disposal of parks and recreation real property or facilities
- Adoption of operating rules and regulations relating to parks and recreation properties and facilities
- Capital improvements to parks and recreation properties and facilities
- Long-range planning for parks and recreation facilities and programs
- Supports interlocal cooperation with parks and recreation programs in other jurisdictions
