Marysville Police use a variety of proactive community-based programs and crime prevention techniques to help reduce crime and make citizens feel safer. One of the city's most visible and effective programs is the Marysville Volunteer Program (MVP). Crime prevention is a responsibility shared by everyone, not just a job for the police. MVP members are an extra set of eyes and ears for commissioned police officers. The work they do lets officers focus on other proactive policing duties.
Priority for appointment to the MVP will be given to citizens who reside within the Marysville city limits.
