The City of Marysville and Marysville
Fire District are offering another round of popular Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) training in Marysville. Registration is now open for
classes taking place on eight consecutive Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Sept.
11 through Oct. 30, at Fire Station #62, 10701 Shoultes Rd.
CERT provides education and training
in basic response skills including fire safety, search and rescue, and medical
operations. Participants must live or work in Marysville, attend all sessions,
establish a three-day emergency kit, obtain personal safety equipment and be a
willing team participant. Personal safety equipment costs about $30; more
information about what to get and where to buy it is provided at the first
class.
