Meet embedded social worker team at Mayor's Coffee Klatch Sept. 10

Marysville residents and businesses are invited to come have coffee with Mayor Jon Nehring and meet the new team that pairs a Marysville Police officer and a Snohomish County social worker to offer needed services to people who struggle with homelessness and addiction.

Mayor Nehring’s Coffee Klatch will be Monday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. at The WhistleStop Sweet Shop, 1508 Third St., Marysville. Light refreshments will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by Sept. 6 to Leah Tocco, Executive Service Coordinator, at 360-363-8091 or ltocco@marysvillewa.gov.

The cities of Marysville and Arlington and Snohomish County launched the north county embedded social worker program in late March. Results to date are encouraging. Similar programs are underway in other parts of the county.

Mayor Nehring holds informal Coffee Klatch sessions several times a year to meet with residents and hear their concerns. Staff are also on hand to answer your questions about city programs and services. Thank you to The WhistleStop for hosting this event.
