Join the fun at Marysville's National Night Out on Aug. 6

NNO 2019

Marysville residents and families: You’re invited to join local police, firefighters and community partners to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6. The City of Marysville is hosting an event at Jennings Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. that evening. Stop by to enjoy:
   - Hot dogs
   - Popsicles
   - Police and Fire personnel
   - Police K-9 demonstration
   - Neighborhood Watch program and safety information

As an alternative, the city also encourages residents to come together for neighborhood events to get to know each other better and promote community building. Neighbors looking out for each other can be a powerful deterrent against crime.

To help you get started, the city is offering a barbecue starter kit to neighborhood events that expect at least 15 attendees and register with the city by July 19. The optional starter kit includes hot dogs (require refrigeration and your ability to prepare on site), buns and Neighborhood Watch information, and it must be picked up on Aug. 6.

Register online at http://www.marysvillewa.gov/NNO. You will be asked to provide your event’s time and address, a neighborhood co-sponsor, and estimated number of attendees.  Once registered, you’ll receive a customizable flier to share with your neighbors and a time to pick up your barbecue starter kit. City staff will stop by registered neighborhood events that evening as available.

If you have questions, please contact Leah Tocco at ltocco@marysvillewa.gov or 360-363-8091.

National Night Out celebrates its 36th anniversary this year with celebrations in 16,000 communities in all 50 United States, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide.
