Officers respond to domestic violence with weapon

Late last night, officers from the Marysville Police Department responded to a domestic violence call with shots filed in the 4900 block of 88th Street NE. The suspect had left the scene in a white pickup. While in route a Marysville police officer located the vehicle, tried to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle fled. A PIT maneuver was performed, ending the pursuit in the 4200 block of 88th Street NE. As the officers were approaching the vehicle, they heard a gunshot come from the vehicle, and located the driver with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officers performed CPR until Marysville Fire District Aid arrived and transported the suspect to Providence Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Marysville Police requested Everett Police Department to conduct an independent investigation of the pursuit.

No one else was injured in the pursuit or at the location of the domestic violence incident.

88th Street NE will be closed from State Avenue to 46th Avenue NE this morning until Everett Police Detectives are finished processing the scene.
