Marysville Police investigate shooting on State Avenue

Marysville Patrol Officers were called to the scene of a shooting at the Chevron gas station, 70 State Avenue.  Shortly before 4:00 AM, a 911 caller reported that people within two vehicles were shooting at each other.  

Officers arrived quickly on the scene, locating a male with a gunshot wound.  Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s arm prior to the arrival of Marysville Fire Department Medics.  The second vehicle had already left the scene.  

Detectives were called to the scene to take over the investigation.  Preliminary information shows that the parties involved knew each other.  The gunshot wound victim, a male in his 40s, was transported by Medics to Providence Medical Center and is expected to survive.   The suspected shooter remains outstanding.
