City survey asks how best to accommodate population growth

It’s no surprise that Marysville has grown quickly in recent years. Current city population is about 72,000. While county projections indicate the city currently has capacity to house about 92,000 people, the city is required to plan to accommodate nearly 100,000 residents over the next 20 years.

That’s why we’re asking for public input on what housing types, or mix of housing types, would work best for Marysville. The eight-question community survey takes less than five minutes to complete. Provide your viewpoint and comments at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JG9MRKB.

Public survey results will help inform the city’s adoption of a 2024 Comprehensive Plan. The adopted growth strategy and any associated zoning changes will be reviewed by the Planning Commission before being forwarded to the City Council for review and adoption. For more information about that process and schedule, visit https://www.marysvillewa.gov/1211/2024-Comprehensive-Plan-Update.
