National Night Out 2023: Building connections with a community cookout

National Night Out

The Marysville Police Department is hosting this fun-filled event, alongside the City of Marysville, Marysville Fire District and local community partners. Join us on Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 6 -7:30 p.m. in Jennings Park (6915 Armar Rd.) for a unique opportunity to spend quality time with first responders, city staff, and fellow community members. Overflow parking will be available at Marysville Middle School

Attendees can enjoy interactive demonstrations by the Marysville Police Department and the Marysville Fire District while gaining insights into their daily operations and valuable safety tips.

National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign that fosters police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, originated in 1984 and has since grown to include thousands of communities nationwide. Marysville is proud to be one of the cities participating.

We are also accepting vendor applications for organizations looking to participate. Visit marysvillewa.gov/NationalNightOut for more information. Applications are due by Wednesday, July 26.

National Night Out isn’t the only exciting event happening at Jennings! All in Stitches Quilt Guild in partnership with the Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation department will host the annual Quilt and Art Walk at Jennings Nature Park (6309 53rd Ave. NE) the same evening, from 4 to 7 p.m. The Quilt and Art Walk offers a beautiful stroll through the park, showcasing remarkable quilts and works of art by various artists and art forms along the path.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Silvana MeatsSwire Coca-Cola and Target for their donations toward this event.
