One person dead in Marysville shooting, suspect in custody

Marysville – Aug. 10, 2023

Marysville Police Department officers responded to a distress call, regarding a reported shooting, at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the scene in the 2600 block of 164th St. NE in Marysville. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect is now in custody, and authorities have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community related to this incident. The suspect is also believed to be involved in an Edmonds homicide at approximately 7 a.m. this morning. The investigation of the homicide in Edmonds is being led by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. 

Marysville Police Department detectives are investigating the circumstances that led to this shooting. As of now, no further details regarding the incident or the individuals involved will be released.
