Citizens, residents, business owners and other community members are invited to share their priorities and concerns for housing in our city. Please join us for our Housing Action Plan Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Marysville Civic Center, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, 501 Delta Ave.

The agenda includes a brief staff presentation from about 5 to 5:15 p.m. with Q&A immediately following. The presentation will also be available online via Zoom at  https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85339047697?pwd=tR2ZShDUG0RGlNuQFg7DCqk8ES3WF0.1

City staff crafted Marysville’s draft Housing Action Plan (HAP) to meet the goals of:

  • Expanding housing options,
  • Creating workforce housing for local employees, and
  • Stabilizing households for existing residents to remain in their homes.

Another way to share your thoughts is by reviewing the draft plan and participating in a public survey at https://www.marysvillewa.gov/1274/Housing-Action-Plan. ;

The HAP will be used to update the Housing Element of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and provide context for the Land Use Element. The HAP’s data and action items will also provide the direction and strategies needed to ensure the City meets its housing needs sustainably and equitably.
