Join us for an evening of reflection and remembrance celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. Keynote speaker JJ Frank will begin our program with a brief introduction and review of the civil rights leader and his influence on American history. We will then show the movie Selma which chronicles the historic 1965 voting rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. At the conclusion of the movie JJ will then facilitate a short discussion and dialogue period about the movie as well as the current state of affairs in Marysville and beyond.
Doors open at 4:30 pm, introduction begins at 5:00 pm followed by the movie and discussion afterwards. Open to all ages however recommended for those 13 years and older. Refreshments will be available. $5.00 suggested donation at the door.
