November 12, 2019, 6:30 PM @ Marysville Opera House
As Paul will explain, it was all for a picture. He dreamed of photographing the Arctic's most iconic animal, the polar bear, in its natural habitat. Tonight he shares his hilarious and evocative misadventure across 4 summers, 600 miles of a vast inland sea and the unpredictable Arctic wilderness to capture the elusive creature. His presentation offers an insightful look at what compels a person to embark on such a trek and includes stunning images of the landscape, people and wildlife of the remote Hudson Bay region.
On the second Tuesday of the month the Marysville Opera House will host an outdoor adventure speaker. Local authors, outdoor enthusiasts and naturalists will share their adventures and expertise on topics including hiking, kayaking, nature photography, mountain climbing, boating and more. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will be available by donation. Presentation begins at 6:30 pm.
