The Lakewood neighborhood has experienced growth over the past few years with both business and residents.  The neighborhood is transitioning from a long history of rural land to an urbanized character.  Since it was designated as an urban growth area, it has seen substantial commercial and multifamily development.  This development trend will continue, making the Lakewood neighborhood a desired community within Marysville with easy access for I-5.
