Heads up for drivers in the Whiskey Ridge area of southeast Marysville:
Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, a section of 83rd Avenue NE will be closed 24/7 for construction. Plan ahead and follow the marked detour route along 87th Avenue NE via 60th Street NE and East Sunnyside School Road.
The closure is needed to install a culvert and lower water mains. It is expected to last through Friday, Sept. 12. During that time, the roadway between 60th Street NE and East Sunnyside School Road will be open to local traffic only.
