Just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, Marysville Police responded to a call in the 5200 block of 121st St. in Marysville, where a 2 year old female toddler had been struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers were advised the toddler had run out of her residence and gotten behind a vehicle that was backing out of the driveway. The toddler’s father was the driver.

Officers immediately began CPR on the 2-year-old, who was in critical condition. Arriving medic units took over efforts and transported the toddler to Arlington Airport for airlift to a local emergency hospital. The toddler died on the way to the airport and the airlift was canceled.

Marysville PD Collision Investigation Team detectives are currently on scene investigating. Family members are cooperating with investigators.

“This appears to be a very tragic accident, however we must bring in our specialists to investigate to make certain that is the case,” stated Commander Robb Lamoureux.
