Marysville Police have arrested a 19 year old Everett man in connection with this morning’s drive-by shooting.
Just after 2:00 a.m., officers were alerted to a shooting that had taken place in the 4300 block of 88th Ave., in Marysville. During the initial investigation officers learned a house party had been taking place when a fight broke out in the front yard. Some of the participants were told to leave. Several individuals got into a vehicle and as they sped away fired shots towards the residence.
Soon after the shooting officers located and stopped a vehicle believed to be associated with the incident a few blocks away from the location the shooting took place. The vehicle was impounded for evidence.
The arrested male was one of the passengers in the vehicle. He was eventually booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives are currently obtaining search warrants to both the house and the suspect vehicle to search for firearms and other evidence.
With the assistance of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Team, Marysville detectives are mapping and measuring the street in front of the residence.
The investigation did require the closure of 88th Ave. for about 10 hours. It has since been reopened.
Detectives are asking for anyone who may have information about the shooting or were a witness to any part of the incident to contact them at 360.363.8326.
