Earlier today, officers from the City of Marysville assisted by several Snohomish County Sheriff deputies did a K9 track for a suspect that was involved in a hit and run after driving away from a police contact in the Goodwill parking lot, 9300 block of State Avenue.
During the initial search for the suspect, it was learned that he was potentially armed with a handgun. During the K9 search, a handgun was located in a back yard of a residence near the suspect's abandoned vehicle. That vehicle was later confirmed as stolen from Arlington. Unfortunately, the suspect was not taken into custody during the initial search.
Marysville officers continued their investigation, searching for the suspect into the evening. The suspect, a 55-year-old male from Granite Falls, was eventually located at a residence in the 8500 block of State Avenue. The suspect was taken into custody at this location without incident, and will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on felony charges.
