Marysville – June 18, 2017, 03:30 PM
A 60 year old Puyallup man was arrested today by Marysville investigators regarding the fatal hit and run collision that occurred on July 6th at the onramp to Northbound I-5 at 4th St.
Good old fashioned police work; surveillance, canvasing neighborhoods, searching for videos, working with local media, along with supporting information from the public led the investigators to this suspect. Officers committed a lot of hours looking for video up and down I-5. The identified man works as a driver for a company that has delivery routes in the Marysville area.
The driver of the truck has been interviewed by the Marysville Police. Initially, he denied any knowledge of the collision. Eventually he saw there was damage to his truck and then knew he had hit somebody or something. The suspect, when he heard about the collision on local media, stated he knew it was probably him.
The involved truck has been located and a thorough examination of the truck will happen after investigative search warrants are obtained.
The driver was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for the charges of Vehicular Homicide and Felony Hit and Run.
The investigation will be continuing and any tips can be called into the Marysville Police Investigators at 360.363.8350
