3. When is garbage picked up?

Garbage is picked up weekly Monday through Friday. To determine your collection day if you are a new customer or have relocated within Marysville, call (360) 363-8001.

4. How often is recycling collected?

Recycling is collected every other week. Please place recycle toter at curbside by 6:00am on your collection day. Carts need to be 2 feet from curb, 3 feet apart. Front of cart must be facing street.

5. How often is yard debris picked up?

Yard debris is collected weekly March through November. Winter collection begins the third week of November, with monthly collection the third week of December, January and February. Regular weekly service resumes the third week of March.

6. How do I dispose of excess garbage?

If you have extra garbage for curbside pickup, you must buy a pre-paid garbage sticker for each 36 gallon capacity of extra garbage. Stickers are available at City Hall and the Public Works Building for $6.66 each. For larger amounts to dispose, you may rent a temporary container for two weeks. 7. How do I dispose of excess yard debris?

Put excess yard debris next to your yard debris toter in an uncovered garbage receptacle or biodegradable bag for collection. Weight limit is 50 lbs.

8. How do I dispose of electronics (e-waste) and appliances?

Electronics such as computers, televisions and large appliances are not accepted for disposal as garbage. For disposal locations, call Public Works at (360) 363-8100 or (800) RECYCLE.

9. What holidays is garbage not collected as regularly scheduled?

Garbage is collected every holiday except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If your service day falls on one of these days, your garbage will be picked up on the next day (i.e., service on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day will be collected on Friday.)

10. What if my garbage, recycling or yard debris is not collected due to bad weather conditions?

If your garbage, recycling or yard debris is missed due to inclement weather or weather conditions prevent safe collection, a double load will be collected at no extra charge on the next scheduled collection day. No credit will be given for missed collection due to weather conditions
