NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that the following open record public hearings will be held before the City Council on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 7:00 PM at 501 Delta Avenue, 2nd Floor, City Council Chambers, to consider the following Interim Ordinances which were adopted on June 23, 2025. Findings of Fact for were incorporated into the Interim Ordinances. Pursuant to RCW 36.70a.390, a Public Hearing is required to be held within 60 days of adopting an interim ordinance. At the Public Hearing, City Council will accept public testimony; however, no action by City Council is required. Final regulations will be vetted through Planning Commission and presented to City Council in September or October 2025 for adoption.
Hearing 1: Public Hearing on Interim Ordinance 3350 which adopted interim zoning regulations to comply with Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 5258 pertaining to Unit Lot Subdivisions and adopting a new Chapter 22G.095, Unit Lot Subdivisions, to the Marysville Municipal Code.
Hearing 2: Public Hearing on Interim Ordinance 3351 which adopted interim zoning regulations to comply with Engrossed House Bill 1337 pertaining to Accessory Dwelling Units and amending MMC Title 22 Unified Development Code by repealing MMC Chapter 22C.180, Accessory Structures, and adopting new MMC Chapters 22C.180, Accessory Structures and 22C.185, Accessory Dwelling Units.
Hearing 3: Public Hearing on Interim Ordinance 3352 which adopted interim zoning regulations and other interim official controls to comply with Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 1110 and Engrossed Substitute House Bill 2321 Pertaining to Middle Housing and amending impacted titles of the Marysville Municipal Code.
The proponent for the three above-described hearings is the City of Marysville. The provisions of these ordinances apply city-wide.
