Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Washington

Our department was honored to carry the torch for Special Olympics Washington, running alongside athletes, community members and other law enforcement agencies to kick off the 2023 Spring Games!

For over 40 years, law enforcement through the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Law enforcement volunteers – many of whom are Special Olympics parents, coaches, volunteers, and unified partners – give countless hours each year, generate ongoing awareness about our mission, raise crucial grassroots resources and support Special Olympics athletes around the world.

Through the partnership of LETR and Special Olympics, opportunities are provided for athletes to empower and transform themselves, their communities and the world. LETR is changing the future for people with intellectual disabilities and lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion.
