Infrastructure improvements

I-5/156th St. NE Interchange

This WSDOT project will convert the 156th St. NE overcrossing at Interstate 5 to a full interchange, thereby improving access to North Marysville, Lakewood and the Cascade Industrial Center. The project is fully funded under the Connecting Washington Program, approved by the Washington State legislature during the summer of 2016.  Preliminary work on the project is estimated to begin in 2025 with construction completed by end of 2031.

156th Overpass

SR531 Widening

SR531 will be widened to add a second lane in each direction from 43rd Ave. NE to 67th Ave. NE, providing much needed capacity with links to the Cascade Industrial Center and the Arlington Municipal Airport. The project is funded under the Connecting Washington Program, approved by the Washington State Legislature in the summer of 2015. To view project details, visit the WSDOT project page.
