More… The City of Marysville will be offering grants to neighborhoods, community groups, and local businesses (businesses must be located from the south city limit north to 8th St., and the west city limit east to Alder Ave.) to improve their neighborhoods or other areas of the community. The program seeks to partner with homeowners, residents, and local business owners in the downtown area to beautify and provide improvements in the community. Marysville's CBP program is accepting applications for project proposals in 2019. This is a competitive grant offering. Applications will be reviewed by a grant review committee that will score the applications and make the award selection. The City of Marysville receives Hotel/Motel tax funds annually. RCW 67.28 details how these funds shall be used. The City Council's objective in selecting projects for assistance from the Hotel/Motel Tax Grant Program is to enhance the City of Marysville's tourism market. Awards are limited to projects promoting tourism in Marysville. The means not only investing in tourism solicitation, but also ensuring that viable programming exists here for the visitors we attract.
